GREEN TOMATO JAM   (Better than marmalade on toast!)

 Ingredients:

1.2 kg                   Green tomatoes

1                                                       Lemon

200g                     Pineapple

1 med size root  Ginger

800 gms              Sugar

Method:

Chop tomatoes, pineapple into small pieces.  

Chop lemon (remove pips) and ginger more finely.

Put half sugar on chopped tomatoes and preferably leave overnight

Add all other ingredients and boil for 1 1 hours.  (test a drop of jam on cold saucer)

Pour jam into sterilized, warm jars, seal with lids.

 

GREEN TOMATO JAM  (Using a Bread maker that has a "jam" mode)

Ingredients:

300gm      green tomatoes

100gm      pineapple

              lemon

50 gms     ginger

200 gm     sugar

1 Tbspn    King Jam Setting Mix

 

Method:

Chop tomatoes, pineapple into small pieces.  

Chop lemon (remove pips) and ginger more finely.

Select mode 9 on bread maker and place all ingredients into bread maker container.

Press start.
